LET'S END FGM IN THE GAMBIA

As of 2010, 76.3% of women aged 15-45 have undergone FGM/C procedures. This practice is not only a violation of human rights but also drastically affects women's health. It prolongs labor, increases stillbirths and increases the need for cesarean births. Help us end FGM/C in The Gambia.

13%

Abortion accounts for 13% of all maternal deaths in the Gambia.

We want to remove the stigma surrounding abortion and make the practice safer for women in the Gambia.

Education is the key

We work with community leaders to spread sexual health awareness and provide hard evidence for why change is needed in the Gambia.

We know that change is difficult but when presented with the facts, it is possible.
